Organising your own concert

The Jostiband makes sure that the concert is a party. We play 2 times 45 minutes. This is possible with a large orchestra or in a small line-up (minimum 30 people). The Jostiband plays no more than 12 times a year, so make sure to plan your concert well in advance.

We play everything from children’s classics such as Twee Emmertjes Water Halen to church music and songs by Coldplay and Armin van Buuren. The concert is suitable for both young and old. During the concert, the orchestra leader and members of the orchestra will tell you more about the Jostiband.

This is what is needed

• The number of Jostiband members (from 30 to 65) will be agreed in advance with the organisation
• A podium or a ground floor area of at least 100 m² (10 metres wide, 10 metres deep)
• Sufficient seating adjacent to the playing floor for the number of orchestra members
• Good lighting to be able to read special sheet music
• 5 hours before the concert to build everything up
• Space for 1 lorry with a capacity of at least 45 m³ and 1 minibus
• 2 hours after the concert to dismantle everything
• A floor area of 3 m² for the sound table
• 2 dressing rooms for the orchestra leaders and the technical team (approx. 10 people)
• The members of the orchestra arrive in dinner jacket about 1 hour before the concert, in 1 or 2 coaches
• Coffee and tea for the members of the orchestra, refreshments of choice during the break
• 3 toilets close to the stage for the members of the orchestra
• Parking space for 1 truck, 1 minibus and 1 or 2 coaches according to the arrangement made

The Jostiband will bring all instruments and sound equipment with them. Please note: the location has to provide its own lighting.

What does it cost?

The fee for the orchestra is at least € 1,000.00 and depends on:

• The entrance fee
• The operation
• Purpose of the concert

The Jostiband has no profit motive. All proceeds go to the Instrument Fund or are invested in e.g. concert clothing, promotion, and equipment.

Accommodation costs for the orchestra
Refreshments for the orchestra members and accompaniment (coffee/tea in advance, various soft drinks and (non-alcoholic) beer during the break. For 2 concerts, a hot meal for orchestra members and accompaniment must be taken into account. For the technical team (approx. 8 people) various refreshments (coffee/tea/soft drinks/(non-alcoholic) beer, lunch (depending on the time of construction) and a hot meal.

BUMA Music rights
